Imprudent Piercings

I roll the dice to a hard eight
But nothing feels like it’s alright
A year ago you pulled the trigger
But the memories of wounds you inflicted lingers

A ruby mouth of my skin turned scarlet
And the loud whispers in my mind as they fret
Sensations perceived with equal attention
Pain, pleasure, heat and cold- indiscriminable.

The ricochet of your bullet pierces me today,
As the quick fix of the Hello Kitty band-aid
Ripped apart leaves a beautiful scar,
The stitches holding me together come apart

The shame and the regret, as I try to forget
Of the loves I’ve never gotten back
The great, the beautiful, the forever loves
Trembled before the loud, mighty love of you.

I try, I fail, I try again, as you–

About TheBlackWallflower

I'm just your average unique person. I love to read and write (no surprises there, eh?) and think a lot. I adore Rowling and think Harry Potter should be a religion. I also hate pink. I love fluff generally because it makes me feel intelligent and I love poetry because it makes me feel different. (yes, references.) I'm married to Sirius Black. So I sign myself as The Bitch alarmingly often. Oh, and I love Mr. Darcy. And Jo Longo. And Chandler Bing. And Sherlock. (Yes, I'm a fantard.) And in case you want to drop in a good, or a critical word, feel free to email me: OR, follow me on Twitter: @WallflowerBlack Enough with the babble. OkBye. View all posts by TheBlackWallflower
